He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburn Cantrell and Lady Belle Cantrell (Rowe); his children, Geoia Cantrell and Jeffrey Cantrell; and his siblings, Leonard, James, Wilson, Alex, Wilburn Jr., Noah Cantrell and Ella Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jean Cantrell (Horn) of Alexandria; his children, David Cantrell (Ann) of Anderson and Katrinia Trace (Michael) of Sugarcreek Township, OH; his daughter-in-law Beverly Cantrell of Chesterfield; his sister Barbara White (Robert) of Lapel, IN; and his grandchildren, Jenessa Regan (Chris) of Kettering, OH, Major Christina Balocki (Dan) of Sterling, VA, Tarah Brown (Laurence) of Chicago, IL, Regina Kinzfogl (John) of Oakland, CA, Otis M. Cantrell (Kari) of Bloomington and Megan Cantrell of Anderson. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
