She was predeceased by: her parents, Herschel Waymire and Hilda Beckley Waymire; and her husband Etheldred "Gene" Bathauer. She is survived by: her children, Gykala Mitchell (Robin) of Galesburg, ND, Donna Hobbs (Billy Guffey) of Yorktown and Doug Bathauer (Cindy) of Newburgh, IN.; her grandchildren, Michael Mitchell (Katie) of Galesburg, ND, Sara King (Tyler) of Casselton, ND, Jessica Fyre (Robert) of Argusville, ND, Shelby Bathauer of Oak Park and Lauren Bathauer of Newburgh, IN; her brother Garry Waymire (Louann) of Leesburg, FL; and her siblings-in-law, Francis Bathauer (Wanda) of Anderson, IN and Ruby Morris of Anderson, IN.. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
A public celebration of Karen's life will be announced when pandemic restrictions relax.
