She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Rice and Louisa Rice (Carney); her husband Rev. Robert K. Embry; her daughters, Michelle Chesnut and Rhonda Brashears; her grandsons, Jarrett Kaufman and Robert Hancock; her siblings, Marilyn Lewis and Henry Albert "Buddy" Rice; and her brother-in-law Jerry Garner.
She is survived by: her children, Renna Kaufman-Anderson (Harold) and Bo Embry-Cicero (Janeann); her son-in-law Coy Brashears; her grandchildren, Andrew Embry (Diane), Zach Embry (Laci), Landyn Kaufman, Lyndzey Smith (Johnny) and Charles Chesnut; her great grandchildren, Alice Embry, Violet Embry, Karenna Smith of Johnny, Emma Smith and Raylynne Hancock; her sisters, Jeneane Garner and Peggy Browning (Bob); and her brother-in-law Mark Lewis.
In lieu of flowers, Karen's family suggests that you "pay it forward" for someone's meal at your favorite restaurant.
