He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Grose and Lena Grose (Vanness); his wife Joyce Blake; his brothers-in-law, Phil Levi (Ruth Ann Blake) of Alexandria and Wayne Blake of Alexandria; his brother Richard Grose; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Ruth Blake (Jackson); his stepmother-in-law Grace Blake (Foley); his siblings-in-law, Sue Blake (Brobst), Janelyn Levi (Blake), Judy Grose (Hocker) and James (Rosemary Williams); and his nieces, Gina Grose and Marla Bennett (Blake).
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Gilson (Mike) and Robin Grose (Ed Valdizan) of Margate, FL; his siblings, Ralph Grose of Alexandria and Rosalie Clamme (Robert); and his sister-in-law Mary Lou Grose.
In lieu of flowers, John has requested donations be made to the Alexandria-Monroe Township Historical Society, 313 North Harrison Street, Alexandria, IN 46001, or envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
