It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel L Addison of Alexandria, Indiana, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Joel may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean M. Addison (Folgeman) and Max Addison. He is survived by: his wife Karen Addison (McDaniel); his children, Amanda Combs (Joaquin) and Christopher Addison; his brothers, James Addison and David Gordon; his grandchildren, Brancen Combs (Kenzee), Brayden Combs (Allison Copeland), Brooklyn Combs, Brogan Combs and Autumn Tucker; and his great grandchild Colton Combs.
A reception was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Whetsel Funeral Service, Park Ave. Chapel (1503 S Park Ave, Alexandria, IN 46001).
