We are sad to announce that on July 12, 2018, at the age of 96, Elvada Diruzza (Alexandria, Indiana), born in Grant, Colorado passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Garner and Leona Garner (Duncan); her husbands, Samuel Jones, Sr. and Jack DiRuzza; her sons, Joseph Jones, Paul Jones and Sam Jones, Jr.; and her siblings, Floyd Garner, June Garner, Loren Garner, Charles Graner and Phyllis Pittenger.
She is survived by: her children, Michael DiRuzza (Phyllis), Sue Hueston (Larry), Elaine Jones of Peachtree City, GA and Virginia Jones of Marion; her brother-in-law Jerry Pittenger of Gaston; her siblings, Ralph Garner (Opal), Ron Garner (Darlene) and Dorothy Haulter of Kokomo; and her grandchildren, Susan Whetsel (Bud), Rick Hueston (Beth), Cathy Warren (Mike), Chris Jones (Robin), Justine Jennings (Robin), Jay Jones (Lisa), Brad DiRuzza (Jenny), Andy DiRuzza (Nichole), Lee Ann Jordan, Robin Beardsley (David) and Jimmy Jones (RaeBethe).
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials may be the Summitville Convalescent Center's Back to School Program, 701 S Main, Summitville, IN 46070 or in care of the funeral home Whetsel Funeral Service is honored to care for Vada and the DiRuzza family.
