He was predeceased by: his parents, Sterling Cornett and Myrtlee Cornett (Houston); his wife Judy Ann Cornett; his son Donnie Lawson Cornett; and his siblings, Claudette Kochine, Francis Coleman and Tommie Creech.
He is survived by: his children, David Troy Van Matre (Jenny), Lesa Butcher, Teresa Eisenbise-Yorktown (David) and Dana Hogue (Chris); and his brothers, Tracy Creech (Donna) and Charles Creech-Dione (Teresa). He is also survived by Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
