Clifton R. Phipps Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Clifton R. Phipps (Alexandria, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 18, 2024 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Willie" Phipps and Sarah Phipps (Hurt); his wife Marilyn Cooper; his stepdaughter Jennifer Cooper; and his siblings, William "Junior" Phipps, Don Phipps, Shirl Phipps, Nettie Holland, Grace Jent, Geneva Peavler, Myrtle Creech and Rose Phipps.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Phipps Ongley (Phillip) of Middletown and Julie McGee of Avon; his stepsons, Kevin Tharp, Jeff Tharp and Kenny Cooper; his grandchildren, Kayleb Phipps (Quinn), Ty Ongley, David Ongley, Nicole Hampton and Mario L. Folsom; and his sisters-in-law, Gladys Phipps, Wanda Petrie and Doris Phipps.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Owens Funeral Home (412 N Harrison St, Alexandria, IN 46001). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
