She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Lakey and Donna Lakey (Chapman); and her brother Dennis Lakey. She is survived by: her husband Chuck Stratton; her children, Brian Pendley (Michelle), Jennae Schenk (Steve), Shannon Bailey (Jim Copeland) and Shelly Thomas; and her siblings, Jeff Lakey (Sally), Bud Whetsel (Susan), Starla Eaglin and Stacey McMillian (Norman). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Whetsel Funeral Service (1503 S Park Ave, Alexandria, IN 46001). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Whetsel Funeral Service, Park (1503 S Park Ave, Alexandria, IN 46001). A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (200 College Dr, Anderson, IN 46012).
