He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Abner Bankson Sr. and Reba Wheatly; his wife Gay Bankson (Ruff); his children, Amy Gerlofs (Ritchie), Tammy Bankson (John Willhide), Mike Bankson, Richard Bankson (Molly Bolt), Robert Bankson (Valerie), Zachary Surface (Lou) and Charlie Stewart (Nicole); his siblings, Linda Norris (Dave) and Imon Bankson (Linda Kreigh); and his friends, David Mares, Mike and Jody Pardue.
