He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lock and Golda Lock (Maggert); his wife Betty J. Morr; and his siblings, Helen Groves of Columbia City, Ada VanDeman, Norbert Lock, Paul Lock and Art Lock.

He is survived by: his children, Tammy Hootman (John) of Kendallville, Tim Lock (Carol) of Albion and Tom Lock of Albion; and his grandchildren, Melissa Weeks, Angela Meyer (Nate), Jennifer Shepherd, Kyle Lock (Amanda), Heather Lock (Nick Dubea), Mallori Rutherford (Ryan), Jamie Luh (Charles Horn), Richelle Bruening (Sean), Amanda Kimmel (Shawn) and Tanner Lock (Hannah).
