He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Melvin and Vera Melvin (Eckels); and his brothers, Van Alton Melvin and Kenneth Melvin. He is survived by: his wife Allegra Melvin of Albion; his daughter Holly Melvin of Kendallville; and his sister Bonnie Marks (Tom) of Albion.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Noble County.
