He is survived by: his mother Donna Gossett (Blaylock); his wife Mary Gossett; his children, Benjamin Gossett of Albion, Michael Gossett of Albion, Brad Gossett of Fort Wayne and Megan Sapp of Butler; his brothers, Bryan Gossett (Dawn) of LaOtto and Jason Gossett (Angela) of Wake Forest; and his grandchildren, Devon Weber and James Sapp. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials in memory of David, may be made to Noble County Conservation Club.
