As Vee Ann departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Vee Ann may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Vee Ann leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her adoptive parents, Robert Berkebile and Ardene Berkebile; and her mother Beryl McClelland. She is survived by: her husband Ronald J. Schmidt; her daughter Mary A. Carter; her granddaughter Madalyn Milner; her sister Lyn Berkebile; her half-sisters, Pamela Dennis and Dana James; and her stepfather Grant McClelland of Roaring Spring, PA. She is also survived by step-children.
