He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard W. "Bill" Sumwalt and Margie Sumwalt (Hickle). He is survived by: his brother Dennie Sumwalt; his girlfriend Susan Hale; his nephew Allen Sumwalt; his nieces, Alicia Corn, Selma and Sarah Laskar; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Willow Sumwalt, Rose Sumwalt, Evelynn Laskar, Hunter Spain, Richmond and Zac Coy; his aunts, Rita Cannon and Jackie Vandenplas; his friend Cindy Besser; and also Lakelyn Hodson.
