It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Leininger of Akron, Indiana, who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Trout and Vivian Trout (Wagner); and her granddaughters, Mattie Shay and Ashlee Leininger. She is survived by: her husband David Lee Leininger of Akron, IN; her children, Jennifer L. Bornmann (David) of Rochester, IN, Gregory L. Leininger (Megihann) of Mentone, IN and Gary H. Leininger (Heidi) of Warsaw, IN; her siblings, Judy Ensminger of Plymouth, IN and Phillip Trout of Indianapolis, IN; and her grandchildren, Leslie Willingham (Matt) of Valparaíso, IN, Lauran Burgan (Josh) of Westfield, IN, Lindsey Mahns (Chris) of Wanatah, IN, Josie Leininger, Jules Leininger of Warsaw, IN, Aaron Leininger (Heejae) of Pittsburg, PA, Seth Leininger (Precious) of Columbia City, IN, Mariah Leininger of Mentone, IN, Michael Leininger of Mentone, IN, Gavin Leininger of Mentone, IN and Grady Leininger of Mentone, IN.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church (3516 N 650 E, Rochester, IN 46975). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
