He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Janick and Margaret Janick (Petek); his daughter Karin Petro; his granddaughter Jacquie; and his sister Margaret Emmett.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Janick of Silver Lake; his sons, Robert L. Janick of Chicago and Scott (Jessica Janick) of Justice, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Alyssa, Tori and Darren; and his brother Joseph Janick of Phoenix, Arizona..
