It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph E. Harter (Akron, Indiana), born in Rochester, Indiana, who passed away on April 7, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Charles and Fern Mae Harter (Taylor); and his sisters, Hester Jane, Esther Jean and Mary Ann.
He is survived by: his wife Beverley Harter; his children, Joseph Harter Jr. of Muncie, Ruth Ann Harter of Akron, Mary Beth (Greg Gast) of Akron and Elizabeth Harter of North Manchester; his grandchildren, Derrick Harter, Thomas Gast, Christopher Harter, Taylor Gast, Jessica Harter, Megan Wagner, Sarah Wagner and Brayden Wagner; his great grandchildren, Elise Harter and Rienn Gagnon; and his sisters, Carolyn Largen of St. Louis and Suzanne Niles of Muncie.
