He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer O. Bickel and Maxine Ruth Bickel (Needham); his brothers, Jerry Bickel and Robert Eugene Bickel; and his son-in-law Gary Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bickel of Akron; his children, Fred (Michele Bickel) of Warsaw, Jeni Adams of Akron and Jeff (Laura Bickel) of Akron; his grandchildren, Colby Bickel (Jasmin), Jamie Murphy (Andrew), Nathaniel Bickel, Kala Hughes (Justin) and Ryan Adams (Chaitra); and his sister Ruth Ann Funk of Akron. He is also survived by 6 Great Grandchildren.
