He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Foster and Virginia Marie Ashby (Ellis); his brother Ronald Lee Ashby; and his parents-in-law, Milo and Saraetta Shriver.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ashby of Akron; his children, Brenda (Brian Yoder) of North Manchester, Dawn (Charles Poe) of Akron and Thomas (Samantha Ashby) of Rochester; his grandchildren, Bryanna, Devon, Zachary, Kara, Bailey, Harley and Zeke; and his siblings, Steve Ashby of Fort Wayne, Glen Ashby of Florida, Bobby Ashby of Warsaw, John Ashby of Bargersville, Edgar (Carol Ashby) of California, Helen (Tony Middleton) of Silver Lake, Teri (Tony Monce) of Silver Lake, Janine (Troy Hoskins) of Warsaw and Sandy (David Smith) of Elyria, Ohio.. He is also survived by numerous Great Grandchildren.
