She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Middleton and Thelma Middleton (Fearnow); her husband Ronald Gagnon of Akron, Indiana.; her children, Daniel D. Backus and Debra L. Backus; her grandson Daniel D. Backus, Jr.; and her brother Eugene Middleton.
She is survived by: her son Steven Backus (Linda) of Akron, IN; and her stepchildren, Steven Gagnon (Kathy) of Claypool, IN and Barbara Hienbaugh (Tim) of Wabash, IN.
