She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Thompson and Hazel Thompson (Kindig). She is survived by: her sons, Orville (Julie Reese), Akron and Ind; her foster daughters, Teresa Dosh and Barbara Oster of New Mexico; and her sisters, Erma Ellinger, Bourbon and Ind.

Donations can be made in her memory to the Town of Akron Parks 206 W. Rochester St, Akron, IN 46910.
