He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Stombaugh Johnson (Latta) and Donald Stombaugh; and his siblings, Donna Stombaugh and Ronn Stombaugh. He is survived by: his wife Jean Stombaugh of Advance; his daughters, Jennifer Natasha Brodner (Bryan) of Oklahoma City and Amanda Scruggs of Oklahoma City; his granddaughters, Karsyn Elayna Scruggs, Brienna Brodner and Jordan Brodner; and his brothers, Mike Stombaugh (Liz) and Danny Stombaugh (Dawn). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Humane Society for Boone County.
