He was predeceased by: his parents, Billie Francis Sartain and Rose Gun Sim Mew; his brothers, Joel Sartain and Barry Sartain; his stepmother Willa Sartain; and his sisters, Cheryl Glos and Beverly McNamee.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Sartain (Hall); and his children, Michael Sartain and Danielle Sartain of Kenosha.
