He was predeceased by: his son Joe Lee "Jody" Peña; his brother Wilfredo Peña; and his niece Vanessa Peña. He is survived by: his children, Ruben Peña Jr., Abeward Peña, Philip Peña, Michael Peña and Richard Peña; his grandson Levi Dalton Lemus Peña; and his siblings, Adoracion Peri (Charles), Frank Peña and Romeo Peña. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
