With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Anthony Madden Sr. (Zion, Illinois), born in Talladega, Alabama, who passed away on January 23, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Madden and Ollie Madden. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; his children, Dewayne Madden (Irene) of Oswego, IL, Robert Madden, Jr. (LaDonna) of Beach Park, IL, Yolanda Madden of Albany, GA, LaCory Smith (Tamara) of Barlow, IL, Shatara White of Dallas, TX and Sennetta Smith of Beach Park, IL; his grandchildren, Eboni, David, Jeremiah, Leah, Hannah, Alaina, Amari, Anthony, Kylie, Dontrell, Danae, Arianna and Quincey; his sisters, Catherine Garrett of North Chicago, IL, Elizabeth Gooden of Talladega, AL and Dorothy Chapman of Talladega, AL; his niece Daisy Newsome (Dave) of North Chicago, IL.; and his nephew Willie J. Garrett Sr.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church (1529 Elizabeth Ave, North Chicago, IL 60064). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Mt. Olivet Memorial Park Cemetery (1436 Kenosha Rd, Zion, IL 60099).
