He is survived by: his wife Judith; his children, Kimberly Pontillo (Reginald Jr.), John Patterson Jr. and Michael Patterson; his grandchildren, Kody Pontillo, Aron Pontillo and Gloria Gene; and his siblings, James Patterson and Agnes Custer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
