She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Petty and Willie Mae Petty; her granddaughter Charkeia Petty; and her siblings, R'Reece Goodwin, Julius Petty, Henry Petty, Bonnie Doby, Fred Petty, Ethel Mae Smith, Robert Petty and Alan Petty.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie Lynn Coburn, Darrin Carl Petty and Charlette Denise Smith. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bradshaw & Range Funeral Home (2513 W Dugdale Rd, Waukegan, IL 60085). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Mt. Olivet Memorial Park Cemetery (1436 Kenosha Rd, Zion, IL 60099).
