He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer M. Hansel and Violet Mabel Hansel Schultz (King); his stepfather Wilbert Schultz; his siblings, Elmer V. Hansel and Norma B Ambrosich (Lavern); his sister-in-law Karen Schultz (Blount); his granddaughter Ana Grace Hansel; and also Phyllis Hansel.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Hansel (Welling); his children, Kristi Ann Albano (Frank), Jacob Kristian Hansel, Matthew James Hansel and Zoe Lana Hansel; his brother Alvin J. Schultz; and his siblings-in-law, James B. Welling and Jean M. Scharnick. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
