We are sad to announce that on March 4, 2022, at the age of 97, Earl Stephen Mapes of Zion, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mapes and Lucy Mapes; his former wife Margaret Mapes; and his siblings, Irene Wilson and John Mapes.
He is survived by: his wife Margret James; his sons, James Mapes (Susan) of Westport, CT and David Mapes (Laurie) of Zion, IL; and his grandsons, Seth Mapes (Lisa) of Hanover, IL and Josh Mapes (Nicole) of Machesney Park, IL. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two nieces, and three nephews.
