He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Bernice Hill and Ward Benjamin Hauenstein; and his siblings, Clova Holverson and Lowell Hauenstein. He is survived by: his children, Gail Avery (Sager) of Mesa, AZ and Philip Hauenstein (Ivey) of Salem, WI.; and his grandchildren, Joseph Avery of McHenry, IL, Rebekah Avery of Mesa, AZ, Charlotte Hervas (Jon) of Gilbert, AZ, Joshua Hauenstein of Kenosha, WI, Kristopher Hauenstein (Michelle) of Roxbury, VT and Carina Gilliland (Jeff) of Kenosha, WI.. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate donations to DAV (Disabled American Veterans) which was one of his favorite charities.
