He was predeceased by: his mothers, Gladys Carter and Phoebe Carter; his wife Catherine Carter (Kay); his brothers, Frank and Ronald Carter; his parents-in-law, Emily and Lockland McDougall; and his brothers-in-law, Chesley, Duncan, Martin, Johnny, Lockie McDougall, Patrick Walsh and Tom White.
He is survived by: his son Bill Carter (Betty) of Port; and his granddaughters, Rebecca and Kathleen.
