He was predeceased by: his parents, James Garfield and Theople Johnson (Simpkins); and his brother Perry Sims. He is survived by: his brother-in-law Jim Mueller of Marion; and his brothers, Michael Johnson and David Lee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
