With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Lee Irby of Zeigler, Illinois, born in Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on February 13, 2024 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlous Lee and Vera Ruth Irby (Childers); and his half-brothers, Chuck Irby and Stephen Wallenmeyer. He is survived by: his wife Betty Irby of Zeigler; his sons, Robert Wayne Irby of McLeansboro and Samuel James Jewell of Evansville, IN; his grandson Shooter Wayne Irby; his siblings, Leta Carr (Edward) of Mulkeytown, Myra Irby of Thompsonville, Gary Vaughn (Sharon) of Zeigler, Jerry Vaughn (Robyn) of Benton, Paul David Irby of Tyler, TX, Carl Lee Irby (Linda) of Energy, Conrad Irby (Barbara) of West Frankfort and Caryn Humphrey (Mike) of West Frankfort; and his close friend Nathan Hiller of Herrin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
