Though Robert Eugene may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He is survived by: his parents, Cecil Robert Rumsey of Marion and Cora Jean Rumsey (Hall) of Marion; his wife Sharon; his children, Zachary Rumsey (Taylor) of Herrin and Justiena Marie Rumsey of Ohio; his stepson Chris Bundren of Florida; his sisters, Dawn "Shellie" Caulk of Marion and Sherrie Wiegand of Marion; and his sister-in-law Karen Williams. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Reedy Funeral Home (604 E Main St, West Frankfort, IL 62896). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
