It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert L. Smith (Yorkville, Illinois), born in Aurora, Illinois, who passed away on December 17, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold J. Smith and Cecilia "Ceil" Smith (Matsel); his wife Lynn M. Hankes; his grandson Christopher Lee Brown; and his brother Dean Smith (Lois Smith).
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Craig (Gregory) of Sandwich, IL, Kathleen Smith (Mary Cook) of Naples, FL and Kristy Brown (John Enlow) of Yorkville, IL; his niece Kellie Crue (David) of Mesick, MI; his grandsons, Aaron Brown (Dusty) of Sandwich, IL, Jacob Brown (Kristen) of Yorkville, IL, Benjamin Craig of Sandwich, IL and Bradley Craig (Bridgette Edmeier) of Sycamore, IL; his great grandchildren, Grace, Jaxon, Owen, Tucker and Lila Brown; and his brother-in-law James Hankes (Cena) of Quartzsite, AZ. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be divided among Bob's favorite charities.
