He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Obenauer and Wilma Barbara Dockter Obenauer; and his wife Barbara "Bobbie" Johnson. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Matthew Johnson (Christine) and Mary Hoover (Harold); his great grandchildren, Emily and Daniel Hoover; his brother Mark Obenauer of Oklahoma; and also, Wendy Hoover and Christopher Hoover (Amy).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ (409 Center Pkwy, Yorkville, IL 60560). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the same location.
