He is survived by: his children, Jim Essig, John Essig, Larry Essig, Judy Perkins (Jimmy), Bob Essig (Sue) and Susan Kuru (Bill); his grandchildren, Kelli Perkins, Kristi Janssen, Lexi Crasco, Robert Essig, Seth Essig and Keeley Kuru; and his great grandchildren, Damon Rich, Finley Hillgoth, Abilene Hillgoth, Dustin Perkins, Donar Perkins, Amelia Janssen, Caleb Janssen, Barrett Janssen, Jackson Crasco, Morris Crasco and Ronan Crasco.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Fox Bend Golf Course (3516 US-34, Oswego, IL 60543).
