She was predeceased by: her parents, Lenny L. Armstrong and Pearl Armstrong (Hall); the father of her children Arcadio N. Hernandez; her son Gregory Hernandez; her children-in-law, Ralph Padilla and Ellen Hernandez; and her granddaughter Jessica Padilla.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Padilla of Yorkville, IL, Anthony Hernandez (Cindy Swartzentruber) of Massillon, OH, Michaela Raavel (Manfred) of Yorkville, IL, Victoria Daraskevich (Edward) of Oswego, IL and Nina Hernandez (David Daraskevich) of Poplar Grove, IL; her grandchildren, Michael Raavel (Melynda), Nichole Sandefur (Adam), TJ Hernandez (Alison), Sarah Drozd (Mathew), Joshua Raavel, David Hernandez, Kevin Raavel, Lauren McFarlane (Kyle) and Jeffrey Daraskevich; her siblings, Alan Frye (Barbara) of California, Judith Gragg of Kansas and Nina Thomas (Ralph) of California; her granddaughter Alison Fuerstenberg (Chad Fuerstenberg); and her sisters, Marilyn Moore and Barbara Glass. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home - Yorkville (1617 N Bridge St, Yorkville, IL 60560). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel Hill Gardens West (17w201 Roosevelt Rd, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181). An entombment was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery (17w201 Roosevelt Rd, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181).
