He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Wendling (Hartman); his parents, Arthur Wendling and Elva Wendling (Rink); and his siblings, Richard Wendling, Marjorie Wendling, Grace McKirgan, Kathleen Baliman, Darlene Everett and Carol LaGow.
He is survived by: his sons, Larry Wendling (Ann) and Gary Wendling (Penelope); his grandchildren, Lisa Wendling, Sara Sondermann, Matthew Wendling (Kirsten) and Laura Yoo; and his siblings, Charlotte Flagg and David Wendling (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
