She is survived by: her husband Harold Newkirk; her children, Shannon Ferguson (Chris), Cindy Borgic (Matt) and John Newkirk (Tabatha); her grandchildren, Kendall Ferguson, Evan Ferguson, Tyler Ferguson, Keegan Borgic, Rylea Borgic, Hayden Borgic, Faith McBride, Brianna Barber, Elizabeth and Trinity Gurley; her great grandchild Nova Gurley; and her brothers, John Leonard Jr., David Leonard (Christie) and Don Leonard.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barkley Funeral Chapel (300 N Kentucky St, Greenup, IL 62428). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Cummins Church (17201 N 1575th St, Yale, IL 62481).
