He was predeceased by: his parents, John K. Rice and Erma Rice (McAvoy); his wife Deloris M. Chilton; his daughter Marcie Cook; and his brother John K. Rice Jr..
He is survived by: his son Kent Rice (Melody) of Xenia; his grandchildren, Zach Rice (Heather) of Xenia, Aaron Rice of Mt. Vernon and Cody Cook of Rinard; his great grandchildren, Quinn and Lainey; his son-in-law Gary Cook of Rinard; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Rice.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Gregory A. Smith Legacy Scholarship, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
