With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Scott-McGrew (Xenia, Illinois), born in Owensboro, Kentucky, who passed away on December 29, 2019 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Whistle and Luella Whistle (Spears); her sons, Marvin and Richard Scott; and her siblings, Billy Whistle and Helen Dennison.
She is survived by: her former husband Norman A. Scott; her husband Donald McGrew of Xenia; her sons, Eugene Scott (Brenda Ralph) of Reed, KY, David Scott (Linda) of Reed, KY and Brian Scott (Cindy) of Henderson, KY; her grandchildren, Winter Scott of Henderson, KY, Selina Damrath of Henderson, KY, Brandon Scott, Bradley Scott, Jason Scott, Brianna Scott of Henderson, KY, Cierra Robinson of Henderson, KY, Melissa Swearer of Henderson, KY and Bailey Scott of Owensville, IN; her siblings, George Whistle of Chandler, IN, Clara Donahue of Owensboro, KY and Virginia Clouse; and her stepchildren, Donna Gansauer (Bruce) of Centralia, Roger McGrew (Connie) of Xenia, Cathy Witsman (Steven Leathers) of Mt. Carmel and Brian McGrew (Renee) of Belleville. She is also survived by 13 step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Clay County Hospice and will be accepted through either funeral home.
