It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deloris Rice of Xenia, Illinois, born in Carmi, Illinois, who passed away on September 23, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gilbert "Gib" and Fern L. Chilton (Hillyard); her sons, Dennis Satterfield and John Satterfield; her sister Mary Etta Gray (Bill); and her brother-in-law Norwood Rodgers.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Rice of Xenia; her son Steve Satterfield of Florida; her stepchildren, Kent Rice (Melody) of Xenia and Marcie Cook (Gary) of Rinard; her grandchildren, Ryan Satterfield, Brock Satterfield, Zach Rice (Heather), Aaron Rice and Cody Cook; her great grandchildren, Quinn and Lainey; and her siblings, Pat Rodgers of Carmi, Barbara Brown of Palestine, Texas, Jim Chilton (Jan) of Villa Grove and Harrell Chilton of Carmi. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations are suggested to any charity of the donor's choice and will be accepted through the funeral home.
