He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Osborn and Susie "Viola" Osborn (Madry); his former wife Sharon Kay Head; and his siblings, Lura Bell, Betty, Bonnie, Sara, Brenda Sue, William and Frank.

He is survived by: his wife Diana Hasty; his daughters, Shelly Hilburn (Walter "Tony") of Guntersville and Rhonda Liddle (Mike) of Wyoming; his grandchildren, James "Jimmy" Self, David Self (Ashley), Rachel Self and Alexis "Princess" Hart (Braden); his great grandchildren, Eli J. Self, Kayden and Quinn Hart; and his sisters, Mary Wells (Charlie) of Ardmore, TN and Diana Hasty of Roanoke.

Memorial contributions may be made to Princeville Baptist Church or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Alabama Chapter.
