Robert J. Groter Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert J. Groter of Wyoming, Illinois, born in Ottawa, Illinois, who passed away on February 2, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Groter and Anne Groter (Kelly); his brothers, John and Don Kissel; and his grandson Robert Eugene Groter.

He is survived by: his spouse Bebe Jo Groter (Miller); his children, Robert Bernard Groter (Mary) of Wyoming and Brenda Jo Hopp (Bradley) of Toulon; and his grandchildren, Joseph Groter, Elizabeth Kovalick (Ben), Mary Jo Groter, John Groter, James Groter, Olivia Hopp and Brett Hopp.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mid-West Illinois Racing Association (M-WIRA) or the Wyoming Lions Club.
