He was predeceased by: his daughter Janet; his grandson Brian Cox; his daughter-in-law Terry L. Cox; and his siblings, Myron, Doris, Martha, Florence and Mary.
He is survived by: his parents, Myron Ralph and Gladys Louise Oakes Cox; his spouse Helen Louise Vest; and his children, Cindy Gephart (Harry) of Chillicothe and Terry J. Cox of Galesburg.
He lived until age 95 in Wyoming before moving to assisted care, most recently to Grandview Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Peoria.
