She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Storey and Evelyn Storey; her husband Dennis E. Schaffer; her granddaughter Brittany Schaffer; and her brother-in-law Richard Van Scyoc.

She is survived by: her sons, Tony Schaffer (Teresa) of Wyoming and Larry "Doug" Schaffer of Wyoming; her grandchildren, Justin (Miranda), Richard, Naomie (Jake), Brianna and Kolton; her great grandchildren, Sage, Jaxon, Hunter, Sky Paige and Danny; and her sisters, Dianne "DeeDee" Smith (James) of North Carolina, Linda Schierer (Ronald) of Peoria and Karen Van Scyoc of Peoria. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Haskell Funeral & Cremation Services - Wyoming (101 S Galena Ave, Wyoming, IL 61491). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Dominic Catholic Church (303 N Galena Ave, Wyoming, IL 61491).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Ambulance Service or St. Dominic Catholic Church.
