She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Ernat and Julia Ernat (Ternetti); her husband David Kerlin; and her brothers, Danny Ernat, Gerald Ernat and Thomas Ernat Jr..

She is survived by: her son Claude Cook (Shelby) of Dalton City; her sister Sue Read (Paul) of Wabasha, Minnesota; and her stepchildren, Timothy Kerlin of LaSalle, Wesley Kerlin (Madel), Laurie Kerlin of Peru and Margie Bierbom (Steve) of LaSalle.
