With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet Sue Gears of Worden, Illinois, born in Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on March 25, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father William Walter Head; her son Douglas A. Gears; and her sister Delores Leidner. She is survived by: her mother Jewell Irene Bennette (Finn) of Bethalto; her husband David W. Gears of Worden; her daughters, Diana Gears of Worden and Sherry Roberts of Mt. Vernon; her brothers, Gary Head of Edwardsville and Charles Head of Arizona; and her niece Tana Strohmeier. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
